Writing computer programs means writing instructions, that will make the computer follow and run a program based on those instructions. To explain how programming works, I will give a brief history. The basic instructions are composed of a sequence of ons and offs, that the computer follows as it runs them through the processor, turning switches on and off. The ons are coded (meaning written in programming) with an 1, and the offs with a 0. Numbers and letters are also represented by this; 0000=0, 0001=1, 0010=2, 0011=3, etc. In the beginning, programs looked like "1010100100101111010101010101". Click here to see the website\ _ 2. WHAT IS CODING? Computer programming is a field that has to do with the analytical creation of source code that can be used to configure computer systems. Computer programmers may choose to function in a broad range of programming functions, or specialize in some aspect of development, support, or maintenance of computers for the home or workplace Click here to see the website 3. WHAT KIND OF SCHOLARSHIPS COULD I GET FOR CODING? Computer Programming Teaching Fellowships are available through the University of Memphis. Eligible graduate students may receive up to $30,000. Preference is given to minority students as well as women. 4. More scholarships: This website gives you some of the best scholarships for computer coding. I believe that everything in this article is important to know, not just parts of it. _ _ _ 2 The most important thing is the first paragraph, they give a more specific definition of coding then most websites. _ 3 I think the most important thing in this article is how every college that gives these scholarships list who they give them to. 4 this is more of a list than an article, but it gives full detail about everything.	3. Ask: What don’t you understand? 1 I think I need more information about the first part of the second paragraph, I am not sure why they say coding is like giving someone instructions. 2 The third paragraph is very blurry to me, by that I mean I don't get it all that well. 3 It did not go into enough detail about all of the scholarships. 4 I think they may be able to provide more information about each scholarship.
